Kingdom Communities

God's Plan for his followers is repeatedly described in Scripture in corporate kingdom terms. God is creating for Himself a people where He will be their God and they will be His people. This God and people relationship makes for a passionate community that cares about following and serving Christ, as well as caring and loving one another.

Each church needs to reflect the Kingdom characteristic of God's people. The family is an intentional community that represents and champions the cause of Christ in this world. Every person that accepts the gospel becomes a citizen of God's Kingdom who by faith has moved from the Kingdom of darkness into Kingdom of light. When the followers of Christ begin to function as the body of Christ is results in various observable Kingdom community characteristics. These constitute the basic parameters and foundation of a church.

1. Faith community-The Relationship to God
2. Caring Community-Relating to One Another
3. Pilgrim Community-Relating with the Future in Mind
4. Witnessing Community-Relating to the World at Large
